Understanding Electromagnetic Waves
EMFs are waves of energy, ranging from low-frequency radiation (e.g., from power lines) to high-frequency waves, including millimeter waves used in 5G networks. These millimeter waves are very high-frequency, between 30 GHz and 300 GHz, and can penetrate deeper into the body than lower-frequency waves, which raises concerns about potential health risks.
Silver Polyamide Fabric: The Shielding Material
Auraguard products use silver polyamide fabric, a combination of nylon fibers and pure silver. Silver’s excellent conductivity helps it reflect and dissipate EMFs. The key to this protection lies in surface resistance—how easily electric current flows across the fabric. Lower surface resistance means better conductivity, which improves the fabric’s ability to deflect EMF radiation away from your body.
EMF Shielding Through Attenuation
Attenuation is the reduction of EMF energy as it passes through a material. Our fabrics attenuate EMFs, absorbing and scattering the waves to reduce their intensity. The effectiveness of this shielding is measured in decibels (dB), with higher values indicating stronger protection. Auraguard fabrics provide 40-50 dB attenuation, blocking over 99% of EMFs across a wide range of frequencies, including millimeter waves and frequencies between 250 kHz to 40 GHz.
